We operate three Eurocopter AS 350 BA Helicopters amd a Bk117.  The AS350 is a turbine powered single engine helicopter considered international as one of the safest and most reliable light single helicopters. The Bk117 is a turbine powered twin engine helicopter renown for its agility and stability.

Two are dedicated to our 24/7 aeromedical programmes in Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne.

BK117 (IBK)

The newest addition to the fleet is the twin engine BK117. With its large cabin and work space it is well suited for the multi-mission role demanded of it in New Zealand. The helicopter’s high speed allows for the rapid transport of critically ill and injured patients.

AS350BA Squirrel (ZK-HFZ)

The AS350BA Squirrel (ZK-HFZ) is based at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Hospital and is operated for the Hawke’s Bay Helicopter Rescue Trust.

AS350BA Squirrel (ZK-HYP)

The AS350BA Squirrel (ZK-HYP) is based at the Gisborne Airport and is operated for the Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust.

AS 350BA Squirrel helicopter (ZK-HGB)

The AS 350BA Squirrel helicopter (ZK-HGB) is based at Hastings, provides back up to the rescue services and undertakes a full range of commercial and charter services.

HGB is equipped to carry patients up to 250kg in weight and is available with or without a clinical team to any destination within New Zealand.
